For one night only, Torafuku’s beloved Le Tigre food truck reunites with Kei Lowes of Toki Doki for a Japanese street food party with a West Coast twist.
Japan-born and Vancouver Island-raised, Kei has been cooking since his teenage years. Alongside his wife, he once ran Toki Doki in Tofino, serving Japanese street food inspired by his heritage and the people, places and mentors who shaped his journey.
Now, two food truck stories come together again, with a playful menu that brings the best of both worlds to the table.
Think grilled cheese mochi skewers, wagyu croquettes and Fuku ramen from Le Tigre, alongside Toki Doki favourites like okonomiyaki and zangi cabbage wraps.
No formal tasting menu. Just Japanese street food, bold flavours, good company and a little nostalgia.
